About Uy Nguyen

  • Biography

My name is Uy. I was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, but I've been living in Berlin, Germany for 6 years. In March 2021, I completed my Master's degree in Painting at the Berlin Weissensee School of Art.

Although I specialized in Fine Arts during my studies, my fascination with filmmaking also emerged. Aside from painting, I've been deeply involved in creating short films from 2020 to 2022, totaling 4 projects.

Currently, I've taken a pause from filmmaking and returned to my roots in painting. In 2021, I began with still life paintings, as the city was under lockdown, allowing me to channel my creativity at home. Now, I'm frequently venturing outdoors again, exploring different artistic horizons such as landscape painting.
