About Toni Cruz

My beginnings in the plastic arts was back in 92, in the world of photography. In the following years I got into digital techniques and experimenting new learnings in new technologies.

Professionally I have been collaborating with companies dedicated to interior design and decoration, performing graphic design tasks Since five years ago, I have currently focused all my artistic activity on abstract painting. I am looking to experiment with new materials to find textures that generate a strong dynamism in my creations.

My works stand out for their creative strength and intensity, projecting in each of them my inner energy to transmit it to the observer.

My style is influenced by abstract expressionism inspired by masters like Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock that is characterised by gestural brush-strokes or mark-making, and the impression of spontaneity also expressive or emotional in its effect. I work in a spontaneous improvisatory manner often using large brushes to make sweeping gestural marks and deep textures with marked movements.

During the last years I have been collaborating with small galleries of art in Barcelona, but finally I have decided to promote my creations through the internet. For this I have created an own website where I make known my creations. On the other hand, I am convinced that artfinder is an excellent opportunity to promote my artworks internationally.
