About Tina Shyfruk

  • Biography
My name is Tina. I'm a full-time watercolor botanical artist.
I work in a multi-layered technique and therefore my works look realistic. I paint most of my works from nature. I thoroughly study plants, exploring their colors, both warm and cold, as well as the structure of stems, leaves, and petals. In addition to plants, I have a fondness for painting bugs and butterflies. I visit nature museums to take beautiful photos of insects for my art.
The main material which I work is watercolor, but I also work with other graphic arts materials, and occasionally, I like to experiment with resin.

Creativity is where I found my purpose in life. When I create art featuring plants, I am filled with energy and driven to continually improve my skills. It becomes a form of meditation, where it's just me and the watercolors.
