I bought this painting as a present for my Dad's 93rd birthday. His childhood home looks across the sea at the Hook lighthouse and it has been a part of all our lives as long as I can remember. Thomas's painting was done from a very unusual angle and i had never seen the lighthouse painted like that before -it grabbed my attention immediately. Sadly after I had paid I received a message to say it had already been sold - but Thomas offered to paint another one so I said fire away! It took about 2 weeks for him to complete it and for the paint to dry before he sent it off to my dad who was thrilled with it. So it was a very successful present - but I haven't actually seen it yet. I am hoping to visit my dad very soon and I will get my first viewing then.

This artwork was a gift for my husband to mark the end of an era with us moving away from Gloucester Docks. It is as beautiful in real life as it looks in the photos and my husband was quite overwhelmed to receive it. We shall be decorating a room around it when we move. Thank you

Visited this cove in Cornwall many summers, so was tickled to see this painting to add to my collection as a lovely memory. I received a gracious note from Mr. Gowen when receiving the painting. I will be attaching this note to the back for future references.
