Hello! I'm Tetiana Savchenko, a professional artist from Ukraine whose work bridges traditional Ukrainian folk art with contemporary artistic expression.
My artistic journey is deeply rooted in the study of Ukrainian folk painting and ornamental patterns - what many call "the language of millennia." This ancient visual vocabulary has become the foundation of my artistic expression, allowing me to connect our rich cultural heritage with modern sensibilities.
In my current work, I focus on creating unique pieces that bring together seemingly distant worlds - exotic wildlife with traditional Ukrainian patterns, particularly through my distinctive bird portraits. Each piece tells a story of cultural fusion, celebrating both the diversity of nature and the timeless beauty of Ukrainian decorative traditions.
My artistic process is influenced by two great passions: traditional Ukrainian ornamental painting and the natural world. I find inspiration in my garden, where I cultivate flowers that often find their way into my artwork. This connection to living beauty helps me create pieces that feel both rooted in tradition and vibrantly alive.
My artwork has been recognized both nationally and internationally, with pieces held in the permanent collection of the Ukrainian Museum of Folk Art and in private collections across the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland, and France.
