About Tatiana Georgieva

  • Biography

Born in Belarus, I have been living and working as a full-time artist in Australia since 2007.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, specializing in tapestry, from the Belarusian University of Art and Craft in 2001. After more than a decade working as a graphic artist, illustrator and art director, I transitioned fully into my own artistic practice in 2011.

Most of my artworks are inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Australia—its sacred land, spirit, geometry, the deep blue shades of the ocean, and the lush greenery of the Adelaide Hills. My paintings are an echo of the eternal connection between nature and human perception. By blending joyful colors and organic forms, I create a vibrant energy on the canvas—one that extends into the spaces where my art finds its home.

My work is a continuous exploration of texture, light, and movement. I love experimenting with different materials and techniques, always evolving my style to capture the dynamic beauty of nature. While my background in tapestry weaving still influences my approach, my primary focus is on bringing depth, emotion, and a sense of harmony to each piece.

Over 300 unique artworks have found homes in private collections across the USA, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Italy, Russia, Norway, Malta, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.
