About Tasha Poletaeva
Biography
I mostly work on wooden surface, using oils and spatulas. I love how wood responds to oil paints, and being a "slow painter", I admire the gradual change in the paint structure, allowing me to enjoy the "slow cooking" process of building up layers and fusing shades into each other.
I switch from abstract landscapes (or dreamscapes if you wish) to more figurative forms .. major inspiration always being the nature, the elusive beauty of the clouds, the delicate perfection of a flower, the earthiness and glow of a fruit ..
