About Tamara Vieira

I believe that anyone should be able to buy an original oil painting of their very own!! And I try to make that a reality for those who are truly interested in collecting beautiful pieces of work to enjoy for the rest of their lives. Painting is part of who I am. I follow in the footsteps of my predecessors who were excellent artists in their own right although they may not have pursued painting professionally like I do. I hope that you will enjoy the work that I create and show me your appreciation by purchasing an art piece, leaving a review and following me on instagram as tamv_art as I share my love of painting with the world! I like to lose myself in nature. On a typical day I can be found painting in my backyard, surrounded by birds, squirrels and lots of beautiful sunlight. I am in my 30's and have been painting with oil paint for over 24 years. I absolutely dream of being a master at my craft and am greatly inspired by the master impressionist painters as well as some contemporary artists such as Erin Hanson, Susan Lyon and Quang Ho. Although I am a qualified winemaker, I have chosen to paint for a living as it is my first love. I have had amongst others, a solo exhibition at Imibala Gallery in Somerset West and hosted a joint exhibition with fellow artists at my studio. My ceramic sculptures were represented by Dante Gallery in Somerset West. My desire is that every viewer should lose themselves in my paintings, even if it is just for a moment, so that nothing exists apart from the wonderful feelings created by the interplay of light, colour and composition. They should experience joy and lightness and enjoy the painting for as long as it is theirs!!
