About Sue Graef

  • Biography
I paint because it is in my blood, what I’m made of. Creating artwork is the one thing I never get tired of and never feel tired while doing it, even if it is 3:00 in the morning. I never run out of ideas regarding what to paint or how to paint it. Creative block does not exist for me. Walking through life, I visually look at things constantly creating a composition with it, to paint later. This is what I love to do and I love to draw attention to my work with the intention of creating an uplifting effect. I see things as though through a camera viewer isolating compositions and imagining color combinations as I go. Inspired by life itself and the urge to communicate in a way most people can relate to, leads to a continuous, never-ending flow of ideas. My intention is to attract, intrigue and amuse my audience from all walks of life while they smile at colorful images. After all, people must disengage themselves from the stress of day-to-day existence and I would like my work to provide that escape if only for a moment or two.
