Wanpela Kingdom, new artwork in studio

This painting evolved from a work I started on Norfolk Island, and recently finished here. It explores my childish memories of Papua New Guinea and the sense of wonder I had of the place. The loose lines, and the markings evocative of a childs perspective of the world.

New Large Paintings in progress, including for #RAWByron

This image shows two large paintings in progress. The one on the floor is for a #RAWByron art event in march, and is slowly progressing, the one in the background on the left will make it's way into the artfinder shop as soon as it's finished. It's nearly there.

I live in a world heritage georgian house in Kingston, Norfolk Island. My studio is the old servants quarters, and looks onto a gorgeous courtyard.

    Studio View

This was my view out to the paddock from my old studio. Where cows, chickens and the occasional lawn mower go past. It is vastly different to my current studio, which is in a house in the city, but it was important to me and my art as it really allowed me to grow and develop as an artist, working in isolation on an island in the pacific.

    Studio desk

I am not one of those artists with an immaculate work space. There is always a little bit of chaos on my desk. I look out onto a paddock of cows and chickens in one direction and a courtyard in the other. Truly blessed to be living in a world heritage house with the old servants quarters kitchen for my studio.
