About Steven A Klinsky

  • Biography

Simple lines, elegant, and from the heart; those are the main focus of my artwork. As with many art forms, the most difficult objectives to achieve are purity and simplicity. With my sculptures and fountains I strive to utilize clean lines and fluidity, giving each form a look of graceful motion. His love of the ocean and nature can easily be seen in the freedom of shape and movement of his pieces. There is a feeling of life's flow in each piece. The majority of my artwork is glazed with crystalline glazes, of my own formulation. Due to the fact that this is one of the most difficult glazing disciplines, at this time, I am the only fine art sculptor worldwide working with crystalline glazes. With special formulation & firing schedule, zinc and silica will bond and form seeds, that when properly fired, become lustrous zinc-silicate crystals. Each piece must have a catch tray, and stilt/donut to fire on, because the glaze must run freely off the piece for the crystals to grow.. When cooled, the crystals are spectacular, and shimmer wonderfully in any bright light, as permanent decoration.
