  • Biography
    Spencer Derry is a British Professional Outsider Artist.  He draws mainly through his imagination, as an Autistic, Spencer communicates how he feels and how he views the world through his creative process. Predominantly specialising in drawing and illustration with the medium of ink pen, pencil, acrylic paint and paper.

    Spencer's influences include artists: Albrecht Dürer, Salvador Dali, M. C. Esher, Ernst Fuchs, Hans Bellmer and H. R. Giger. Also enjoys music, photography and films that can inspire ideas, which result in depictions and images in his work.
     
    Spencer's art has been sold to private art collectors, general public and several high profile figures. 
     
    He worked with a well-known American musician Prince. Prince’s team hired & commissioned Spencer to create original, official art illustrations and concept drawings for NPG Records from 2014-16. 
     
    In 2017, commissioned by Paisley Park for a one-off artwork (unpublished), as run then by Elvis Presley Estate, Graceland Holdings.  
     
    He has also created official art for the musicians Fonky Bald Heads and Judith Hill.
