About Sparsh Gupta
Biography
I am a visual artist who loves composing imagery and narratives exploring the state of mind. My artworks passionately delve into reality and reverie to provide an indulgent insight into my subject. I predominantly work with oil paints, charcoal and graphite as they give me the freedom to express my observations as honestly as possible.
I draw inspiration from daily life, exploring elements such as gesture, emotional needs and existence to create expressive artworks which stir up a relationship with their viewer. Over the past few years, I dedicated my time and energy to polishing my skills in the light of the old masters and new in Italy, Sweden, the USA and India.
I did my studio atelier training and graduated from The Florence Academy of Art, Italy.
In 2019 I was recognised by one of the oldest art organisations in India, All Indian Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) at their 92nd Annual All India Art Exhibition. where my artwork 'Nico' received a national award in the drawing category.
Currently, I am painting out of my studio in Gurgaon, India.
