  • Biography

    Silvie Wright (maiden Tupa) has been painting since early childhood, having commenced formal art study in 2000 whilst travelling across America.  In 2000 Silvie commenced art classes in Ohio State University, Ohio, USA. During this period and until 2005 Silvie studied art under the supervision of the renowned watercolour artist Michael Heath, whose own work was influenced by the styles of Edward Hopper and Winslow Homer.

    Silvie would say that her work has naturally been influenced by all these renowned artists whilst having developed her own unique artistic style, interpretation, and form of still life expression.

    Silvie has exhibited in Ohio, Michigan, Washington  State and most recently in Staffordshire as well as Church Stretton where she now lives. Silvie plans to develop a world art Repertoire drawn from past and future travels, as an expression of her interest in the vitality of nature, and the beauty of the natural environment.

    Silvie paints in the classic mediums of watercolour and oil, using only the best materials including handmade watercolour papers and oil canvases. All paints are of the highest quality art pigments to ensure longevity of colour, tone and hues
