About Satenik Ghulijanyan

For me, the art is a powerful mean to access the diverse and contradictory human entity, and to express it in my own way. I have always been fascinated by the complex innate relation between humans and Nature. In my art I am focusing currently on human emotions and feelings. My preferred technique is oil, because it allows expressing my ideas more powerfully and freely. I am also drawing with great pleasure with charcoal. I am constantly experimenting with different techniques since I think they enable me to present my ideas from different perspectives. I prefer painting live objects and people (I love painting in plain air), I believe that the direct contact with the subject enhances the expressiveness of the painting. In my paintings I am pursuing the goal of expressing the realistic or photographic likeness, but the thoughts and feelings towards the subject. My works have been exhibited in personal and group exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Armenia. Currently I am a professional member of International Association of Fine Arts (Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste (IGBK)) in Germany. I would like to sell on Artfinder, because you have a large audience and fair selling conditions for artists.
