Event: "Ambivalence" Rivercity , Bangkok.

The content we expose ourselves to in the media changes the way we think about ourselves and others. Young people are highly affected by the values embraced by the media. In effect, the media offers numerous interpretations of what is beautiful, sexy, attractive, and appropriate. It has been argued that the social media effect creates a false sense of self and self-esteem through the use of likes, fans, comments, posts, etc. Naturally, our inner world and personality are reflected to others in a partial way,whether we choose it or not. Our true identity is distorted not only in virtual space, but also during the current Covid-19 outbreak, in which we are forced to hide behind masks.
In this series of ladies' portraits, the artist wishes to motivate and encourage the viewers to look within themselves in the hopes of discovering their own inner beauty as well as to ignite the viewers’ imagination.

Series of Portrait paintings inspired by living in Southeast Asia. The old and the new are mixed and intertwined and reflected in the multiplicity of combined portraits in silhouette, which is a framework that represents the boundaries of tradition.
Biography
The passion of Sammy Nidam, is to create, make a statement and view things in a different perspective. The Process of painting each of his artworks is spiritual and has a sense of transcendence. His bold and dynamic Pieces take inspiration from the abstract and pop art movements. Featuring enigmatic female characters, the Viewer is instantly drawn to the juxtaposition of the old and new, colorful and monochrome, geometric pattern, Intricate detail, and contemporary beauties which capture and hold the viewers’ attention.
Sammy N is an Israeli product designer and a multidisciplinary artist who has a lifelong passion in painting. Graduated from HAC Jerusalem with a degree in design. For the next two decades after graduation, he pursued his career in product design as the owner of a well-known Israeli design business that caters to both Israeli and international clients for retail design and product development. In recent years, he has made the decision to pursue his true passion which is modern and contemporary painting
