    Lots of Work

When I was in art school one of my teachers brought in a beautiful drawing that he had made. A student asked, "How long does it take to make a drawing like that?" The teacher answered, "Three hours and forty years."

    On the Wall

I hang my old palettes on a nail on the wall in my studio. The ones I use the most float to the top.

A Favorite Easel for on location painting

My latest home made travel easel. Made out of a maple box that had been a tile salesman's sample box. Very sturdy, light and adaptable. Mounted on a photographer's tripod.

Holding one of my many "zen paintings." I haven't yet loaded any of these on artfinder, but keep watching! Eventually I will offer them here for sale :-)

    19 July 2016

In a beautiful meadow in Tennessee last Summer. Crazy hot that day, but there was a mid afternoon rainshower. And my sister went out with me, so it was a very good day.

Out painting in the early spring at the base of Kennesaw Mountain. You can tell it's still cold out because I get rid of the beard when the weather warms up :-) With my old French Easel.
