Another great painting from Richard which will join the previous one of his I bought. I could see myself becoming a bit of a collector of his work if he keeps on painting as well as this!

I really love this painting - it has an arresting combination of subtle monumentalism and studied naivety along with a surrealistic quality - really puts me in mind of the work of Scottish artist Craigie Aitchison. I'll be keeping an eye on Richard's work in future. It was also a delight to meet him as he lives close enough to be able to deliver the painting in person.
