About Richard Long
Biography
My ideas normally begin with a pencil sketch which is then developed with pen, ink, or watercolour.
I am conscious of the importance of cultural influence, which supports and affects the way I construct my illustrations.
Through the use of traditional media combined with Photoshop, I endeavor to express mood, character and movement in the creation of imaginative new work.
Artists I admire include René Gruau, Sara Singh, Stina Persson, David Downton and Michael Carson.
