Biography
Im a printmaker living in rural Devon, where I have become interested in my surroundings and objects which I feel are stunning in some way. Recently I have become fascinated with things that are silhouetted against the sky. The ones which most interest me are those which people pay little attention too, yet which I feel can be hugely striking and powerful as images. So, Telegraph poles, Trees and Scaffolding have been a focus with pylons being a likley focus for a future series.
I photograph and sketch the subjects and then etch the image into a copper plate using a scribe. The plates are hand inked and the print traditionally pulled through an intaglio press onto high quality "Somerset" paper.
