About Richard Jones & Chieko Jones

  • Biography
I (Chieko Jones) represent my husband, Richard P. Jones. I have been working with him in the photo industry for more than 20 years. Richard P. Jones has been a professional image producer for three decades. His focus lies in projects that aim to illustrate the impact of society and surroundings on individuals. He is inspired to see how people interact with society and spaces. Currently he is looking at this through the digital interface - where the physical and digital world’s collide. Richard stared out a news documentary photographer, working in China and Japan, where he worked for publications including the Sunday Times, the Guardian, Paris Match and Time Magazine. Richard is the recipient of the National Press Photographers Award (USA), three Human Rights Press Awards and was Finalist at the UK Press Awards and Pictures of the Year International (POYi). Richard’s recent work explores the divide where the natural and digital world intersect. Current projects employ techniques including photogrammetry (creating 3D models from 2D imagery), image crushing and high-speed video captures, as seen in the projects "Ghost City" and "Time Slice London."   Richard's portfolio has been exhibited DOX in Prague, The Smithsonian in Washington, FCC in Hong Kong, Ffotogallery in Cardiff, Museum of Wales and Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament).  "Time Slice London" was exhibited at the Fitzrovia Gallery in London.
