About Paul Kingsley Squire

  • Biography
    Paul Kingsley Squire…

…is an oil painter, draftsman and digital artist, whose oeuvre includes ethereal, otherworldly abstracted landscapes, surreal figurative works imbued with symbolism, intricate pencil drawings and digital works, inspired by myth and esoterica.

He is fascinated by themes of metamorphosis and transformation, working in series to create a range of different works.

Across each medium, his artistic style retains a consistent ethereal quality, and boasts polish and thoughtfulness that allows ideas of psychology, nature and consciousness to be pondered by each viewer.

His original oil paintings, pencil drawings and prints are collected internationally.

"I am expressing an inner state of being, a yearning for other worlds and realities, driven by an exploratory drive. It is through this innate curiosity that I have developed several methods and techniques for creating artwork in highly individualistic styles.

Themes that intrigue and fascinate me, include metamorphosis, transformation, esotericism and mythology, and how these subjects are relevant to contemporary life.

In recent years my work has developed into distinct series of otherworldly abstracted landscapes, abstracted figurative works, and surreal figurative oil paintings.

My work is full of symbolism and I prefer the viewer to be drawn into deciphering the imagery, coming to their own conclusions."

Talented Art Fair is the latest addition to London’s growing art fair scene, with its inaugural edition taking place at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch from 17 to 19 March 2017.
Founded by the team behind the now well-established New Artist Fair, Talented offers a new physical platform for some of today’s most exciting talent amongst British and International artists to exhibit and sell their work directly to the public. While The New Artist Fair’s primary aim, as its name rightly suggests, is to introduce the work of new artists, the Talented Art Fair aims to complement its sister-fair by taking it to the next level and focusing on more established artists.

Biography
