    Had this idea that I would use classical Christmas colours to create a series of paintings that could be brought out each year as seasonal decorations which I hope would become family tradition. Not sure that this is not a naff idea....but why not ?

    Hampshire Open Studios

    Just finished Hampshire Open Studios for 2024. All in all a successful 10 days with 10 original paintings sold and also several prints! I enjoy running the workshops ..this year... 'Come along and forge a favourite Monet! I like to demonstrate painting during the event and these paintings invariably sell and this year I did indeed sell 'French Fields I', my take and twist on Monet's 'Path in the IIle St-Martin, Vetheuil'.

    I have been enjoying creating my painting ' Coast I', inspired by an aerial view of the coastline at Freshwater bay on the Isle of Wight. I have incorporated gold leaf into the painting to capture and reflect the light and bring it to life.

    New Forest Inspiration

    New Forest Inspiration

    I have decided that all of my 9 painting submissions for the Titchfield Art Show will be on a New Forest inspired theme this year. These depict a range of iconic New Forest landscapes from open heathland to ancient forest, streams and ponds. I feel blessed to have such a diversity of rich landscapes on my doorstep.
