    Norway Inspiration

    Norway Inspiration

I toured around in South West Norway this past July with the family. Great that my two grown up kids came along and we made some lovely memories. The landscape is spectacular of course but strangely difficult to capture in a painting. The light and sky change so quickly. I think that it must be lovely to paint 'en plein air ' here. ...Maybe next time.

    New Powerful Places

I have enjoyed being in the studio creating some new paintings for my 'Powerful places' collection of paintings inspired by my travels this past year. I always love this as it evokes some happy memories. The fantastic power of art of course! This year I am heading to Italy and I am looking forward to capturing impressions of many more powerful places.

I have been enjoying creating my painting ' Coast I', inspired by an aerial view of the coastline at Freshwater bay on the Isle of Wight. I have incorporated gold leaf into the painting to capture and reflect the light and bring it to life.
