About Paolo Basso

Hello, my name is Paolo Basso and I am a digital artist. I was born in Cuneo, Italy, in 1982. After a past as a musician, since 2016 I have dedicated myself to contemporary art. I prefer digital techniques, both in painting and in video and immersive installations. My focus is color. I try to go beyond the colors of the painting using digital techniques that allow me to obtain different colors. Over the years I have developed various series: Apolidi, Flower, TSO, Digital land. And some video-works like the Mitosis series. All of my works are visible in the paolobassoart instagram profile. Over the years I have exhibited my work in Turin, Milan, Rome and Cuneo. I was selected as a finalist for the INSIDE LAND 2020 award. I currently collaborate with the GART conteporary gallery, situeted in Neive (Cuneo) and in July 2023 I will have a solo exhibition. In 2022 in London together with the curator Gloria Campedelli I deepened the study of color and wrote the treatise "The Chromatic Image, Colors and Poetry" The chromatic image is my focus and through the study of color over the centuries I have came to treat it through digital techniques in a different way than in the past through static paintings and dynamic videos.
My works are printed on fine art paper BARYTA PRESTIGE II 340gr/mq using pigment inks: EPSON ULTRACHROME HDRink. The prints are signed and shipped with the respective certificate of authentication. The treatise "The chromatic image, colors and poetry" is available both in Italian and in English. It can be provided by mail in pdf.
