About Paddy Schmidt

Thousands and thousands of drawings, paintings (mainly watercolor and gouache), sketches I have assembled over the years. All done before and in spare time besides my day job. I focus on figurative art, drawing and painting from life (people and nature), travel & urban sketching (I am the founder of the German Duesseldorf/Cologne Urban Sketching Community). My work has been displayed in various Urban Sketching Gallery Shows, but besides that, never have I had the urge to go public on a wider scale. That changed, because sighting my collection of artwork, some pieces have gathered, which I feel, being proud of is in order. I have to start sometime and where. My main artistic goal is painting on our beautiful island of Murter in Croatia, where we have a house set up for retirement in a small fishers village and selling my work at the port.
