About Olga Hausmann

  • Biography
I've been working as an architect in Poland and Italy for many years. At the beginning art and painting was an hobby, fulfilling my inner need to create and way to express my emotions. Over time I started to paint more and more, painting has became my way of living.
The most commonly used technique is acrylic. In addition to the idea, form and composition, color is very important in my works, it communicates and highlights the emotional part of creating.
    In my works I'm looking for balance between contrasts: order-choas, fragility-strenght, simplicity-complexity, calm-movement, light-shadow, reality-dream.
My main sources of inspiration that give me impulse to create are details of everyday life perceived with all senses: sounds, words, shapes, colours, touch, textures, tastes, scents, I'm finding beauty in their simplicity and imperfections.
Each painting is a separate story, where from the initial chaos emerges a non-obvious but very harmonic structure, a micro-word encouraging the viewers to immerse themselves in their emotions.
My works can be found in private collections in many european countries.
