About Nina Zakharova

Hi!  I’m Nina Zakharova and I am an artist and illustrator from Ukraine. But now I have to leave my home and stay in Poland, because I can’t be safe in Ukraine now. And now I have only my son, my three cats and paints. I work with traditional materials and techniques - oil on a canvas, gouache, watercolor, pastel on a paper and a canvas, and some digital art. During the last few years most of my paintings made with watercolor techniques. I really like this complex and uncontrolled technique, it is very interesting and exciting to manage watercolors! In my art, I show the beauty of our different world in simple things around us - in a landscape, in bright colors of flowers, in a stilllife of juicy fruits, in a gentle morning light. Watercolor is the best technique that perfectly demonstrates how this subtle beauty flows and changes and can easily disappear like water disappears from a sheet of paper. And I like to explore a connection between the past and the present. My artworks has taken a part in many international and Ukrainian exhibitions. My paintings and illustrations are being in private collections in the USA, UK, France, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine.
