It's like it exists as two different paintings the beautiful lady and the flower in her hair. I'm nobody's ideal art reviewer. I work maintenance at a state college in the US. I found the image searching for the Balzac classic Sarassine for which the painting really was the perfect cover art. I'd been driven to distraction by how she stared out and upon receiving it the acrylic is so fresh looking. The dark, especially of her eyes, are so well contrasted by the limits of the frame. It is being stretched to a wood-panel back currently and the framers commented on how sturdy the canvas was. I'm so excited to get it back. As big a fan as I was to receive it, as prompt as Ms. Ansari was to send it to me, ultimately, it moves me by the expression on the woman's face to be something beyond my own worst fears of myself. But still the way the flower stands out and resembles her shoulders reminds me I am always on display. Ms. Ansari is truly a talented artist, and she lifts my conditions beyond the rudiments I shiftlessly cobble together.
