About Nikolay Marinov

  • Biography
From the beginning of my life ( or from the beginning of my memory for me ) I was creating different things. I believe that artist is mission. I have lucky to have parents that supported me in my way and till now I do not regret for my choose.
I have 15 years of experience as a sculptor, having participated in over 50 group exhibitions, I have also participated in national and international symposia, where I have presented works in stone and wood. I have won awards for sculpture from national competitions.
In my work I use mainly natural materials, such as stone, metal, wood. I experiment with different types and structures of materials and techniques, I study their interaction and look for the right expression and balance. I am inspired by nature, its perfection, completeness and balance. In my work I try to achieve harmony between the constituent elements and to transmit the energy they have.
