We really love both Nelly's painting and the frame. It's been beautifully made with this huge horizon, blue-and-golden sky, farmers' fields and the pretty red roofs. For us, it depicts the lovely landscape of the part of our country in which Nelly resides. Being 'polder'-dwellers and -lovers ourselves, we really appreciate and admire her quirky take on this vast, open, special countryside. We'll enjoy it every day, thank you Nelly!

This painting is wonderful. I love the colors and light. And the touch of whimsy in the clouds. This is the first work I've acquired from Nelly van Nieuwenhuijzen and I imagine it won't be the last. Nelly, Purchasing art online and not seeing the actual work in person is a risk — but my concerns have been dispelled. All 5 pieces arrived safely — and true to form they are beautiful. Dankjewel Esther voor dit bericht. Ik ben er heel blij mee. Het is altijd weer spannend. Het was voor mij een verrassing, die vroege morgen van het Nieuwe Jaar... en bovendien uit Nederland. Dat is ook speciaal. Klinkt vreemd misschien, maar de meeste schilderijen gaan naar de USA. Internet maakt de wereld klein (of groot). Een hartelijke groet! Nelly
