About Nataliya Studenikin

  • Biography
Nataliya Studenikin painted her first brush strokes at the age
of five in her native Ukraine. She honed her skills
at the Toronto School of Art and completed her
Diploma in Graphic Design at George Brown College.
During this period, Nataliya began experimenting with mixed
media; blending paint with photography to add nuance and
altering the realism of her subjects. Nataliya's vivid and
colourful works are inspired by the natural beauty of the
landscapes she discovers on her travels around the world.
Today, Nataliya works primarily with acrylic and watercolour,
though she continues to enjoy exploring other mediums
such as traditional photography. She aims to remind her
audience of the beauty of nature in a time of dazzlingly fast
changing culture in which our attention is dominated by
    technological gadgets and digital utopianism.
Nataliya's work has been featured at Nuit Blanche,
Muse 2009, Toronto Ukrainian Festival and Xexe Gallery.
Her work continues to be featured in group art shows,
and many of her pieces can be found in private collections.
