    Verde - the making of

    Verde is collaged from my original photographs taken on location from Sri Lanka to South Africa to Sicily. Reimagining them into a new verdant landscape. To these collages I add paint and ink which adds an illustrative quality to the collages. I have revisited photographs from my past travels to recreate landscapes which I long to return to when travel is possible. Verde forms part of the Botanical series of artworks inspired by my travels.

    Desert Flowers print

    Time lapse film showing how I piece together my own collected images. Here 112 flower photographs mixed with watercolours from my sketchbook cut and added to the cactus collage. 140 layers in total. I have an end point in mind but as each day presents itself the journey to there changes. I didn’t stray too far on this one.
