About Monti Medley

I have never set out to produce work about any one subject.
My interests are varied and contradictory and my work is probably a wash of everything that I see and feel.

Typically, a painting will develop spontaneously with no real idea of where it might go, and over time, evolve into a finished work. It can often be a laborious and time consuming process, and during that time meanings come and go.

Ultimately, painting for me is a way of saying something that I could never do with words.
