I have always been intrigued by realism, whether it be the old masters, or modern classic and for many years I have studied the process of both. By doing so I have found my own approach by mixing the two together.
I find faces fascinating, whether they are human or animal, and I really enjoy the challenge of painting them.
As the saying goes - "The eyes are the window to the soul".
Faces are something we all recognise, and with various expressions, can lead to many emotions being portrayed.
I use a variety of tools including airbrush, paintbrushes and pencils to achieve a realistic outcome and I usually work in acrylics as my prefered medium, but I do sometimes use oils.
