About Michelle Heron

My passion for painting was born from a young age from reflecting the immediate world around me, to bring love to the unloved. I'm interested in the places and things that people overlook or abandon. My recent obsession is for old shopfronts that are disappearing. The reason it's important for me to sell via Artfinder and at in person events is because the connections my artwork brings with people is also part of the work. When I hear the stories and memories of the places I paint it adds another piece to sometimes an unemotional puzzle. I also am drawn to companies that share my values of community and sustainability and prefer to avoid those that can be elitist. I love that my art can bring joy to people's lives and wish to reach more people to make a bigger impact on lives.
