Michael Ioffe the New York – based, Belorussia – born artist. Michael works in several media: painting, sculpture, mixed media and drawing with each bearing an unmistakably individual stamp.
Michael Ioffe studied Art, Architecture and Design at the Minsk School of Architecture with heavy emphasis on classical art technics and process. Since arriving in New York he has worked as a graphic designer as well as a freelance illustrator for some of New York's most prominent publications such as the New York Times, New York City Journal and others, while working on his art. Ioffe`s abstract and surrealistic acrylic and mixed media compositions are brilliantly colored large-scale tableaux, densely populated by hybrid and grotesque creatures, that are created in the spontaneous vein, or rather small compositions on paper.
He currently leaves in Westchester, NY with his wife and daughter.
