Rangoli - Hindi Movies' Hero - Amitabh Bachchan

Rangoli - Hindi Movies' Hero - Amitabh Bachchan

In my school and college days I used to draw ‘Rangoli’. ( Rangoli is a Hindu traditional or folk art, which is generally created on the floor on some festive occasions with special kind of powder. ) I used to draw portraits of cine actors, political leaders, mythological pictures, in ‘Rangoli medium’. The drawback of this art is that you can not preserve the art-work since it is in powder form. I also used to make paintings. Here, some of the photographs of the my old artworks are displayed. _____________________________________________ This a picture of Great Indian Hero Mr. Amitabh Bachachan. ________________________________________________ This is a photograph of the Rangoli, which I drew in the year 1980. The size of the Rangoli was 4 ft. x 4 ft. The original 'Rangoli' was very fine. You may find some roughness in this picture. That is because the enamel of the available negative has become porous after 35 years.
