Event: Oscura Luce
Dates: 30 Jun 2023 - 30 Jul 2023
"Oscura Luce" represents an introspective and engaging journey in which Merche Moriana analyzes and questions her own values and customs through staged images, vivid colors, textures and elements. In this exhibition, the masterful use of chiaroscuro creates an illusory and mysterious atmosphere, establishing links between past and present narratives. The exhibition addresses themes such as the control of time, the role of women, fear, self-judgment, and interpersonal relationships, transporting viewers into an illusory and mysterious world.
Event: Societas
Dates: 7 May 2022 - 3 Jul 2022
The concept of society, from the Latin societas, in its original meaning, refers to the idea of companionship, to the agreement and conformity with a set of legal and cultural rules of arrangement that govern the community of which each individual is an active part.
We do not live in isolation from each other, we form interpersonal links, collectives or large communities.
Within society there are signs of identity that are perceived in everyday life and that make human relations possible.
"Societas" is a journey through the artist's own experience as an active individual in society, where she analyses and questions her own values and customs, representing them through the use of constructed photography.
The control of time, the role of women in society, the fear of death or loneliness, the rules of different communities or interpersonal relationships are the themes that accompany the viewer through this exhibition.

Event: A fil di pelle
Dates: 14 May 2021 - 16 May 2021
Born out of a common need, 'A fil di pelle' is a proposal to reconnect with oneself.
Between the screens of a tablet and a request for friendship, the need to exist, together, runs stronger than ever.
Simple and honest, in the flesh and in living sensations.
Fragile as glass, connected when we are in touch, vulnerable.
Biography
I am Merche Moriana, born in Spain in 1994, and I am a visual artist who uses photography as a means to express and contemplate my own experiences and concerns.
In my artistic journey, I employ a rich palette of colors, textures, and elements to reinterpret the aesthetics of various art history genres. Through my work, I create staged images that establish connections between past and present narratives, enveloped in an illusionary and mysterious atmosphere.
I've had the privilege of showcasing my art in both solo and group exhibitions at national and international Art Centers. Some of these include Escuela Apertura in Málaga, Spain, Bresciani Gallery and Palazzo Merulana in Rome, Italy, Rampa Gallery in Linares, Jaén, La Casa delle Culture in Magenta, Italy, Centro Carmen de Burgos in Baeza, Jaén, and the Colección Museográfica de Casariche in Seville.
My work has also been recognized with several international awards, including the prestigious Gold Medal at the One Eyeland Portrait Awards, where I ranked first in Spain, the Silver Medal at the WPE Awards in Paris, and the Bronze Medal at the BIFA Awards in Budapest.
Recently, my work, titled "Oscura Luce," has been on display in an exhibition at the Italian Museum La Casa del Conte Verde in Rivoli, Italy.
