About Melinda MacDonald
Biography
Like a lot of artists, painting is a way of life for me, not just something I do as a hobby. It is a full time career, gathering and noting inspiration that is evolving daily, planning, executing ideas, marketing, selling, packaging and shipping.
Building relationships with people who follow me and buy my work has been very rewarding. My work can be found in homes across the globe. Living and working next to the ocean on Canada’s East Coast, there is never a shortage of inspiration with the rolling hills of wildflowers and large dramatic storm clouds coming in on the Atlantic Ocean.
I love to create with acrylic and use mixed media elements with the addition of water soluble crayons, oil pastels, cold wax and oil and I have developed a unique process of painting digital art on the Procreate Program with my Apple Pencil. These works have been well received and I am now starting to print them on stretched canvas and paper, embellishing them further with acrylic paint.
Every day is exciting, with potential for new work and even on a bad day I wouldn’t change a thing!
