Event: Stealing Time
Dates: 29 Oct 2014 - 26 Nov 2014
Not content with capturing the world they see, artists Don Craig, Benoit Jansen-Reynaud and Matt Politano employ alternate exposure techniques to photograph motion and the passage of time, creating landscapes invisible to the human eye.
Stealing Time brings together three different but complementary ways of seeing – a collection of elegant enigmas that challenge our perceptions.
SILENT AUCTION
Each artist will also be auctioning a print with all proceeds to Doctors Without Borders. We invite you to drop by the gallery in support of the important work this group does.
Event: 12 Seconds

It could imply the speed in which life can go by or moments that influence and resonate with an artist or anyone or what can happen in such a brief time, maybe nothing, maybe everything.
Photographer Jill Hirschbold, Artist April Ponsford, Artist Ron Wilson, Photographer Gordon Muir, Artist Bob McPartlin, Artist Stephanie Harding,Artist Karen Kaiser, Photographer Matt Politano and Sculptor Christina Hilborne have all come together in our exhibit and their talents are undeniable.
Event: The Floating World
Dates: 5 Apr 2012 - 1 May 2012
The Floating World references Japanese Ukiyo-e (“pictures of the floating world”) woodblock prints. The genre featured motifs of everything from landscapes to historical tales, scenes from the theatre and characters from the pleasure districts. The Floating World for me embraces the concept of a fleeting, evanescent world – moments in time, glimpses, feelings, impressions. My images are attempts to fix these fugitive elements on paper.

Event: Side Streets and Roads Less Travelled
Dates: 5 Mar 2009 - 1 Apr 2009
On the surface, this is an exhibition of travel photography. Scratch a little deeper and you may find that all is not as it seems. Some of these places exist. Others do not.
When I travel, I’m not drawn to the beach resorts or usual tourist attractions. Instead, I wander down back streets, through old buildings and out-of-the-way markets. I am drawn to spaces rich in atmosphere and texture – places you won’t usually find on a postcard. Each is something felt more than seen.
The pieces in this exhibition are my attempts to convey that feeling of each place or space. I order to do so, I will often create the image from pieces; a photo-realistic assemblage of parts that make up the whole I see in my mind’s eye – rather than what I see in the camera’s viewfinder.
Some of the images here are fairly straightforward photographs; others are fabrications. Most fall somewhere in between. Consider this a journey through places and spaces both real and imagined. I leave it to you to determine which is which.

Biography
I grew up in a family of artists, so I really had no choice in the matter. Drawn to surrealism at an early age, and later inspired by Tim Walker and Ellen Kooi, my work has often strayed into the world of the imaginary.
My current explorations use photography, printmaking and mixed media to create unusual and compelling images. My work is held in private collections throughout North America, the U.K. and Japan.
