About Matt Jukes

  • Biography
Matt Jukes lives and works in London, UK, and creates abstract monoprints of forgotten landscapes and misremembered places.

He uses his art to explore his own relationship to emotion and memory, and in turn invites the viewer to explore their own emotions and forgotten places. The arrangement of colour is integral to the artist’s work, with each layer built upon the last through a 200-year-old flatbed lithographic press.
Matt received a Bachelor of Design from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia before studying Printmaking at Morely College. He has exhibited in both solo and group shows in London, New York, and Melbourne. His artwork can be found in Claridge’s Hotel permanent collection in London, Nubo Resturant in Sydney, Maybourne Hotel Beverly Hills Permanent Collection in Los Angeles, and aboard a fleet of cruise ships.
