The Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) is delighted to welcome you to their Annual Exhibition 2023.
The exhibition will encompass the entire plant kingdom, with every art form included, from botanical art to illustration – in fact anything that has plants as the main subject.
Media used includes watercolour, oil, gouache, acrylic, graphite, colour pencil, as well as hand pulled prints and three-dimensional work, including glass, sculpture and jewellery.
Biography
Maryna Vozniuk is an artist from Ukraine.
I started my artistic career with botanical art, portraying plants in a detailed manner in watercolour and graphite. Realistic watercolour is my ode to perfection of nature. Gradually I began to understand that realism is not enough for me to express all the feelings I have towards art and creativity. So on parallel I started small abstract series which are my passion for colour, texture and emotions. When I work in abstract style I feel freedom to express my inner world.
My artwork Plums has recently been accepted to Plantae 2023 Exhibition organised each year by Society of Botanical Artists. The exhibition was held in Mall Galleries, London in May 2023. I already participated in Plantae 2020 exhibition before with my Mountain Ash painting.
I studied botanical illustration at Dianne Sutherland's School of Botanical Art during 2016-2017.
In May 2018 I organised and took part with my 5 artworks in Botanical Art Worldwide Exhibition "Flora of Ukraine" in the National Botanical Garden in Kyiv. Botanical Art Worldwide exhibitions were held simultaneously in 25 countries throughout the world. We published exhibition catalog with near 40 artwork from 15 artists. Also my Mountain Ash painting was published in American, Irish and Thailand's catalogs.
After that we were organising exhibitions for several years in our country.
My artworks were exhibited Botanical Art Exhibition National Botanic Garden and in Watercolour Exhibitions in 2019, Kyiv Ukraine. In 2020 I participated in Botanical Art Exhibitions in Ukraine and in England, UK.
My artworks are currently in private collections in Ukraine, USA and United Kingdom.
I live in a beautiful countryside near Kyiv. I love nature, plants and growing my garden.
