    I'm a massive fan of the band Warpaint. Last year, for her birthday, I painted a portrait of guitarist Theresa Wayman. She now owns that painting - she told me it's hanging on her bedroom wall! It was her birthday again last week so I painted another portrait - not sure what will happen to this one yet though.

    Step by step of 'Segment'

    Last year I created a large abstract pen and ink illustration doodle called 'Segment'. It took somewhere in the region of 40 hours to complete. The original is available for purchase on my Artfinder page and can be yours for £375 (framed) +p&p.     This one was for my friend Tom. He wanted a painting to give to his girlfriend at Christmas. I wasn't given anything in particular to reproduce, I did have a brief which was that she likes looking at the pigeons around Truro Cathedral in Cornwall, so I came up with this....

    This week I was finally able to frame and hand deliver my first commission of Darcy the Dachshund. I got to meet her too! My client specifically requested this frame, good choice too - it's wood and finished with a very convincing golden sheen. I might have to get some more of these for future pieces.

    This week I opened my Art Finder store :) I also started work on my first commission. My good friend Pete has asked me to paint a portrait of his dog Darcy. This is also my first attempt at painting dogs! Here's a sequence of the process so far...
