About Martyn Scott

I completed a BA Hons in Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts in 2005. However for 10 years since then I worked within jobs only associated with stockrooms and warehouses; I had no luck in finding any regular employment that involved art. So earlier this year I made the decision to start working for myself as a freelance artist. Usually when I paint I like to use the Cornish landscape that surrounds me for inspiration, but I often like to also draw intense abstract doodling when using pen and ink. I have been influenced by artists such as Francis Bacon, Graham Sutherland, Dave McKean and Salvador Dali.
