Artist Of The Year 2013 Competition by the SAA. Awarded: Highly Commended
This award was given to me for my underwater painting, "In The Sea", in acrylics. This painting was exhibited at All About Art in London, on the SAA website and in Paint magazine.

Event: Marjan's Art On Display

In this solo exhibition Marjan displays 40 of her artworks for a month. Paintings in oils, acrylics and watercolours are placed around the Orchard Cafe and Tearoom at Holme For Gardens, near Wareham in Dorset. All items are available for purchase.
Biography
Commissions gladly accepted!
I am a Dutch artist and children's book illustrator living in Dorset, England. My artworks are varied and include colourful animals, nudes and figures, as well as more traditional landscapes and coastal scenes. I enjoy experimenting with styles and subjects. I believe this keeps me on my toes to try my best on each painting.
My inspiration I obtain from my own childhood, the nature around me and my imagination.
I may make several paintings of the same subject, however each is different and an original artwork in its own right.
