About Maria Stockdale
Biography
My name is Maria Stockdale and I’m an artist from Vancouver, WA USA. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember.
I studied art at a local community college and had exhibited my some of my student works at Archer Gallery in 2018. In 2019 one of my still lifes was accepted for the Pastel Society of Maine 19th International Juried Exhibition, Pastels Only, held in September and October in Saco Maine.
Currently I mostly work with oil on canvas. Even though I tried pastel in my past oil is now my passion. I like the smell and texture of the paint, the possibility of putting layers and layers of it on canvas, the feeling of brush in my hand.
I hope to find a community of other artists and art lovers from different countries, especially now, in these difficult times when the people are separated from each other.
