Biography
I'm Maria, artist from Siena (Italy)
Through my art, I wish to express the multiple emotions and profound states of mind that characterize a woman's life. Each work is a reflection on the strength, vulnerability, joy and complexity that coexist in the female experience.
I find inspiration for my art in introspection and self-exploration, through art I try to better understand myself and also the world around me, I often reflect my inner journey in the faces and figures I paint, representing joy, pain, sadness or love, this for me is a way to explore and communicate the complex spectrum of human experiences.
I love using different painting techniques but I often find myself using oil paint as it is known for it's ability to produce rich, vibrant and deep colours. The oils reflect light in a unique way, giving the works a brightness and liveliness that is difficult to obtain with other techniques
After obtaining my art high school diploma, the beauty of Art in all its forms accompanied me in my free time and now finally, since 2020 , I have been working intensely on my dream, I attended painting courses in the atelier of the esteemed painter Francesca Strino, whom I deeply admire, with the intention of always improving the quality of my works.
I feel like I'm constantly evolving and I like this, the change, which I feel is imperceptible, helps me grow and improve.
