Dates: 25 Apr 2013 - 28 Apr 2013
London's longest-running art fair.
Held at the Royal Academy of Arts, the London Original Print Fair offers an opportunity to view works from all periods of printmaking, from the earliest woodcuts of Dürer, to the latest editions by contemporary masters. The intimate, boutique Fair provides a friendly atmosphere for both budding collectors and seasoned print enthusiasts to engage with dealers and artists.
Event: Anonyme Zeichner (Anonymous Drawings)
Dates: 3 Mar 2013 - 20 Apr 2013
In the context of ANONYMOUS DRAWINGS roughly 600 drawings by 600 international artists will be presented in changing exhibition spaces. The works will be displayed anonymously. Each exhibition is preceded by an international call for submissions, that is open to everyone. Age, biography or gender will not be requested to be disclosed and do not play any role in the selection. The selection for the exhibition will be made anonymously, too. All the drawings are available for a symbolic unit sales-price of 200 € each on site as well as online. The artist's identity can only be revealed by the sale: the buyer takes the drawing right off the wall and the empty space left behind will be marked with the artist‘s full name and place of origin.
Event: Multiplied: Contemporary Editions Fair - Exhibiting with BEARSPACE
Dates: 15 Oct 2010 - 18 Oct 2010
Multiplied is proud to support both new and established galleries, publishers, artists’ collectives and not-for-profits from across the global art scene. This year’s edition of the fair will present 40 exhibitors showcasing a range of contemporary prints, photography, multiples and artist’s books. The fair will also present works by recent graduates from London’s leading Arts Universities.
Event: ING Discerning Eye
Dates: 13 Nov 2008 - 23 Nov 2008
The 2008 ING Discerning Eye Exhibition again presents an important showcase for work by both established and lesser known British artists: this year's show has attracted some of the best work seen in the charity's eighteen year history. Around 600 hundred works feature in the exhibitioN.
The ING Discerning Eye Exhibition is unique; work is selected not by committee but by six individual selectors. This ensures that a wide range of art, differing in medium and style, is shown. Each selection is hung separately to emphasise its own distinctive identity. All the work, however, has this in common: all of it is for sale and all of it is good.
Biography
The juxtaposition of high and low culture is a central aspect of work created by Marcus Irwin, an independent multidisciplinary artist and printmaker originally from London, but based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Heavily influenced by emerging culture and social desires, he works in illustration, screen printing, stencil, collage, spray paint, and digital printing techniques to create art pieces that profile how social relationships are changing radically. Creating bold graphical artworks that attempt to confirm and question the visual language that surrounds us daily. '
