About Marco Casarin

  • Biography
My name is Marco Casarin, I worked as a creative designer for twenty years in the web sector. I left my job three years ago and gathering my experience with creativity, I started painting. I attended painting courses at the "Crespi Brera" academy, which gave me the opportunity to learn various painting techniques. After some experiments, I decided to embrace acrylic painting. I essentially paint to heal my soul and to express myself in a way that allows me to spend my time doing something I enjoy. I have a keen talent for color perception, particularly for fluorescent colors, especially in their combination and contrast with less saturated colors. In my painting, I use color in its psychological and alchemical significance, meaning it can communicate meanings and emotions based on the chosen color harmonies. Yellow, for example, represents madness, purple represents the feminine principle of the macrocosm, and turquoise represents the masculine principle of the microcosm. I do not like figurative art, which is why I create abstract works. For this purpose, sometimes I enjoy painting objects and then placing them on the canvas to create a visual effect that satisfies me. In choosing these objects, one can be very creative. I also like to mix acrylics with modeling paste and create solid patterns with scrapers and spatulas. I prefer to paint on medium-sized square canvases, generally 60x60cm. I am not just a painter but also a graphic designer, poet, and musician.
