About Lynne Harris
Biography
I really enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes and the natural environment. I particularly like the challenge of capturing light, reflection and movement in water. I combine a love of walking with an interest in photography, to create a supply of images which I can then use as inspiration to paint from. More often than not, if I go and visit anywhere new, I’ll have my camera with me, so that I can photograph anything that could translate into a painting. For me, it’s a win-win situation, because each part of the process, from exploring to applying paint onto canvas is enjoyable.
Pembrokeshire is one of my favourite parts of the UK, but my paintings include views from Yorkshire, Norfolk, Dorset and Northamptonshire to name a few. I usually work with acrylic paint on canvas, though occasionally I will use mixed media to achieve particular effects when the need arises.
